Investment manager BlackRock has posted a net income of $813m, or $4.77 per share, from $841m, or $4.86 per share, a year ago.
Total revenue for the quarter rose to $2.784bn from $2.777bn in the corresponding quarter of 2013.

For the quarter ended 31 December 2014, assets under management (AuM) were $4.65 trillion, a rise of 7.6% from the year ago.
The New York-based company had $87.8bn in net inflows for the quarter. Long-term net inflows for the year came to $181.3bn for an organic growth rate of 4.5%, up from 3.5% in 2013.
The company’s board has approved a 13% hike in quarterly dividend per share to $2.18 and authorized the buyback of an additional six million shares under its existing program.
