BlackRock has appointed Man-Yeon Choi as new country head for South Korea, with effect from 3 June 2014.
In his new role, Choi will oversee and lead all of BlackRock’s South Korea business interests driving its local market strategy across all client groups.

Choi will be reporting to Andrew Reynolds, CFO and head of corporate strategy for Asia Pacific.
Choi will replace Sung Nak Yang, who has been South Korea representative director since last six years.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Choi most recently served at Schroder Investment Management as head of sales in Korea.
Earlier to that, Choi worked for more than 15 years with Korea Investment Trust and served a number of roles including global investment, portfolio management, research and sales in the US and Korea.
