BlackRock has hired Marcia Moffat as new head of Canadian operations replacing Noel Archard, effective September 2015.
Prior to joining Blackrock, Moffat served as founder and principal at Compasar Solutions. She also worked for 12 years at RBC, where she held roles in retail banking, investor relations and capital markets segments.

Most recently, Moffat was head of the RBC’s single largest business line, which was in its retail banking division and also led RBC’s overall strategy for interactions with shareholders, research analysts and rating agencies, as head of its investor relations team.
She also worked initially as investment banker at RBC’s capital markets division. Moffat started her career as a corporate lawyer in the New York and Paris offices of Shearman & Sterling.
