BlackRock co-head of global multi-asset strategies, Colin Graham, has stepped down and handed over management of his two funds.

Philip Green will be appointed as the head of global multi-asset strategies for BlackRock, in place of Graham, who will remain as an adviser to the team until the end of April 2013.

Graham has spent 16 years with the firm and now he will hand over control of his GBP234 million (US$353.5 million) Balanced Growth fund and GBP11 million Active Managed fund. These funds will now be co-managed by Philip Brides and Andy Warwick respectively.

In a statement, Graham said: "Philip’s appointment follows the decision of Colin Graham to step down from his position as senior portfolio manager within the Multi-Asset Portfolio Strategies team after 16 years, to pursue other career opportunities."
