She will be reporting to Heather Pelant, head of retail and private bank distribution for Hong Kong, Singapore and Southeast Asia.
She will lead the Singapore retail team, and collaborate extensively with other BlackRock distribution heads to improve the efficacy of the regional distribution team.
This appointment follows the recent hire of head of Hong Kong retail distribution, Julia Lee in January 2013.
At Schroder Investment Management, Gan was part of their intermediary retail team in Singapore.
