Bessemer Trust, a US-based wealth and investment management firm, has named Joseph Tanious as new principal and investment strategist.

Based at the firm’s Los Angeles office, Tanious will report to Peter Langas, managing director and head of Investment Strategies.

In his new role, Tanious will be responsible for developing and communicating Bessemer’s investment strategies to clients as well as assisting them to develop customized investment plans.

Tanious joined Bessemer from JP Morgan, where he served as an executive director and global market strategist in asset management and also held another role as an associate. Prior to this, he worked as regional director of institutional sales at Wells Fargo Private Wealth Management.
