Bessemer Trust has named Paul Connolly as new principal and director of its philanthropic advisory services.

In his new role, Connolly will oversee the philanthropic advisory services department and will work closely with clients to help develop and pursue their philanthropic interests, define their grant making strategies and achieve their social impact goals.

Connolly will report to James Kronenberg, managing director and chief fiduciary counsel for Bessemer Trust.

Connolly joined Bessemer from TCC Group, where he served as chief client services officer and senior partner and was responsible for the firm’s non-profit and philanthropy practices. Earlier to this, he served as associate director of Nonprofit Facilities Fund.

Kronenberg said: "Paul brings a wide range of philanthropic experience, including consulting directly with private foundations, advising nonprofit boards, and ongoing participation in the field’s intellectual discourse on many facets of philanthropy."
