With the acquisition, Bellpenny has acquired more than 2,000 active clients and funds worth GBP100 million and all six of Monmouthshire IFA’s financial advisers are also expected to move across to Bellpenny.
Meanwhile, the customers of Monmouthshire Building Society will continue to have access to professional financial advice from all its branches and Monmouthsire Building Society will refer new clients who want financial advice to Bellpenny.

The acquisition also takes Bellpenny’s adviser head count to 14 and total advised assets to over GBP400 million. Currently, the firm has 51 staff in total.
Andrew Lewis, managing director of Monmouthshire Building Society, said: "Monmouthshire IFA has experienced rapid growth over the past five years and in an increasingly regulated environment it was decided that the ongoing needs of its customers would be better served as part of an organization that specializes in this area."
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
