Investment management firm Baring Asset Management has changed the name of its UK retail team in order to prevent confusion on products sales.
The team, which was earlier called the UK retail distribution team, has now been renamed as the UK wholesale distribution team.

As part of the move, the company has named Rodney Aldridge as head of the UK wholesale distribution team, which employs seven people.
A spokesperson Baring Asset Management was quoted by FTAdviser as saying that the move would better communicate that its products are distributed by advisers and platforms, rather than purchased directly by individuals.
Recently, Baring Asset Management has appointed Ed Moisson as business development analyst, who will be based in London.
In his role, Moisson work with the sales teams to identify trends and opportunities in the market and provide general market analysis and insight on the mutual fund and institutional business.
