Barclays has appointed Adrish Ghosh as the new head of its private bank for India.
Ghosh had been serving in the interim role since August last year, following the departure of Nitin Singh, who was also responsible for the regional private banking business in Asia.

In his position, Ghosh will lead efforts to develop the private banking segment and oversee delivery of financial solutions in the Indian market.
He will continue to report to Annabelle Bryde, Head of Barclays Private Bank International.
Ghosh has a background spanning 25 years in the financial sector. He joined Barclays in 2008, after working at IL&FS Group in areas including private equity and business development.
Before stepping into the interim leadership role, Ghosh was head of distribution for Barclays Private Bank India, a responsibility now taken over by Pranav Khanna.
