British banking major Barclays has appointed Cedric Lizin as new head of its Middle East and North Africa wealth business.
Lizin replaces Rory Gilbert, who will continue at the bank in a new role.

Lizin, who joined Barclays in 2007 as COO for the Asia Pacific region, was credited for playing a pivotal role in building the platform for the Asia wealth and investment management business, and helping establish robust risk and control frameworks to enable rapid business growth.
He was also the head of Barclay’s wealth management joint venture in Japan with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and SMBC Nikko Securities, which was established in 2010.
Didier von Daeniken, head of wealth management business for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa at Barclays, said: "Having worked in both client facing and infrastructure building roles over the last six years at Barclays, Cedric brings with him an in-depth knowledge of the business and the organisation."
