Oman-based Bank Sohar has appointed Aziz Al Jahdhami as its new head of wealth management to spearhead multiple developments scheduled over next year.

Jahdhami will lead the development of new products, investment platforms and services. The new initiatives are intended to boost the bank’s wealth management platforms and investment tools.

Previously, Jahdhami worked across wealth management, private banking and investment management portfolios at various local banks.

Bank Sohar chief retail banking officer Khalil Al Hedaifi added: “As we step into 2019, Aziz will spearhead a range of developments, featuring responsibility over new products, investment tie-ups and services as the bank works to advance its Wealth Management platforms and investment tools. It gives us great pleasure to welcome Aziz on-board as a market leader of growing repute.”

The bank noted that the appointment is in line with its Human Resource strategy and Oman’s national agenda to employ local talent.
