Bank of the West, part of BNP Paribas’ global wealth management business, has named Pierre Ramadier as new head of the wealth management group, effective January 2016.

Ramadier, who is currently head of wealth management for international retail markets at BNP Paribas, will also join Executive Management Committee of Bank of the West.

Ramadier in his new role will report to Michael Shepherd, chairman and CEO of Bank of the West.

Commenting on the appointment, Shepherd said: "We are pleased to have Pierre join Bank of the West’s leadership team and support our goal of delivering a broad array of financial solutions to our affluent, high net worth and ultra high net worth clients.

"His breadth of knowledge in the international wealth management area will be a great complement to our existing financial planning, investment management, and trust and estate solutions offered in the United States."

Ramadier also held position as co-head of BNL-BNP Paribas Private Banking based in Rome, before returning to Paris to take on overall leadership of wealth management in International Retail Banking.
