Bank of America Merrill Lynch has appointed former Swedish prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt as its new senior advisor for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations.
Between 2003 and 2015, Reinfeldt was Sweden’s center-right Moderate Party leader. His tenure as the country’s prime minister of Sweden spanned from 2006 to 2014.

Commenting on Reinfeldt, Bank of America Merrill Lynch head of Nordic corporate and investment banking Johan Lustig said: "He will bring unique insight to our clients and colleagues and I look forward to working with him closely as we continue the development of our successful EMEA business."
