Swiss private lender Bank J. Safra Sarasin has named Hena Hoda as new managing director for southeast Asia client advisory.

In her new role, Hoda will report functionally to Yelandur Nagendra, deputy CEO for Asia, and locally to Eric Morin, CEO of Singapore branch and Southeast Asia.

Hoda will be replacing Geraldine Low, who has now co-founded a consulting company.

Prior to joining Bank J. Safra Sarasin, Hoda worked at Bank of Singapore (BoS) as managing director and market head of the India subcontinent desk and Southeast Asia.

Earlier to this, he worked at ING Asia Private Bank in Mumbai. He joined ING Bank in Mumbai in 1999 as the business development manager for private banking and later became head of the business in 2001.

He also served as an assistant manager, corporate advisory services, at Ernst Young Private (India) from 1996 to 1999.
