Banco Itaú Suisse, the Swiss business of Latin American bank Itaú Unibanco, has selected software vendor ERI’s OLYMPIC Banking System for its European private banking business.
The selection is part of as part of the Latin American bank’s strategy to make the Swiss unit a central hub for its European private banking business.

Banco Itaú Unibanco Group already uses OLYMPIC Banking System in its entities based in the US (Miami) and Luxemburg.
Banco Itaú Suisse has successfully migrated from the existing system to OLYMPIC Banking System over a four-month project, ERI said in a statement.
The browser-based platform is designed on a modular basis, and is intended to support corporate banking, private wealth management, retail banking, central bank operations and Islamic finance.
Itaú Unibanco claims to be the largest Latin American bank with approximately 96,000 employees and operations in 20 countries throughout the Americas, Asia and Europe.
