Ballentine Partners, an independent investment and wealth management firm based in Boston, has opened an office in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The firm’s Florida team will be led Christopher Chandler and Jennifer Eaton.

The firm has appointed Chandler in the role of managing director and senior investment advisor, and Eaton as its new managing director and senior client advisor.

Chandler will report to Ballentine’s chief investment officer Will Braman, while Eaton will report to Ballentine’s chief wealth advisory officer Coventry Edwards-Pitt.

Chandler joins Ballentine from GenSpring Family Offices, where he served a ten-year stint.

He most recently served as a member of the executive team at GenSpring, where he was the head of portfolio implementation and investment experience responsible for managing quality of clients’ investment experience and implementation throughout the firm’s family offices network.

Eaton also joined Ballentine from GenSpring Family Offices, where she worked for eight years. She most recently held the role of GenSpring’s vice president and a senior family wealth advisor.

At GenSpring, she worked with clients on various topics such as tax and estate planning issues, philanthropic endeavors, family governance matters, trusteeship, and coordination of the flow of information with outside professionals.
