American law firm Baker & McKenzie has hired former RPC regulatory head Steven Francis to expand its financial services and regulatory capability in London.

Francis joined RPC from the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in 2008 and established financial services and regulatory (FSR) group at RPC.

He specializes in FCA enforcement work, non-contentious FCA compliance advice, financial crime and corporate compliance issues, reported The Lawyer.

He also worked for the FSA as an enforcement manager where he handled cases involving insider dealing, regulatory market abuse and money laundering.
