Robert W. Baird & Co has hired two financial advisors from RBC Capital Markets that manage about $230m in client assets.

The team, which includes Michael Gegen and Monty Reedy, will join the firm’s private wealth management group in Denver and San Francisco, respectively.

The team previously had annual production in fees and commission of $2m.

Reedy, who joins the firm as director has previously managed about $1.2m in revenue at RBC, while Gegen, who joins as senior vice president and financial advisor has previously managed $100m in assets and $800,000 in revenue at RBC.

Prior to joining RBC, Reedy has held roles with Sutro & Co., and Lehnman Brothers. He started his career in 1981 with Dean Witter.

Gegen previously worked at Prudential Securities, U.S. Bankcorp, Pipper Jaffray and started his career at Dain Bosworth in 1985.
