Baillie Gifford & Co has announced that it will appoint three new Partners on 1st May 2014.

The new Partners will be Tom Coutts, Head of the European Equity team and member of the EAFE Alpha Portfolio Construction Group; Stuart Dunbar, director in the Clients Department responsible for relationships with UK financial institutions; and David Henderson, director in the Clients Department responsible for Asian clients.

Two Partners, Mick Brewis and Michael MacPhee, will be retiring on 30th April 2014, after 28 and 25 years with the firm respectively. Mick is Head of the North American Equity team, and Michael is a portfolio manager on the Global Opportunities team and the Manager of the Mid Wynd International Investment Trust. As a result, the total number of Partners will rise from 39 to 40 from 1st May 2014.
