AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) hires David Page as new senior economist to bolster its research and investment strategy team.

In his new role, Page will act as a cross-country economist, covering macro-economic and thematic research as well as market strategy and asset allocation.

Additionally, he will focus on the US and UK economies and policies, providing estimations of short and medium term trends and analysis of long-term structural themes.

Page will report to Eric Chaney, head of research at AXA IM and chief economist at AXA Group.

His appointment is aimed at strengthening the macroeconomic expertise that supports AXA’s investment and client teams globally.

Prior to joining AXA IM, David most recently served as a senior economist at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, where his responsibilities included Lloyds’ high frequency data forecasts.

Previously, he worked as an economist at Investec Bank UK and at the UK’s Debt Management Office, an executive agency of HM Treasury.
