Axa Hong Kong (Life) and Axa Singapore (Life) have appointed David Varley as new head of high-net-worth (HNW) Asia.
The move is part of the firm’s strategy to introduce a new range of products and services designed to focus on Asia’s growing number of HNWIs, according to International Adviser.

Based in Hong Kong, Varley will develop and market investment and protection products for the HNWI sectors in the region.
In his new role, Varley will report to Stuart Harrison, chief executive officer of Axa Hong Kong (Life and General Insurance), and Glenn Williams, chief executive officer of Axa Singapore (Life).
The new products and services will be distributed via private banks, HNW brokers, family offices, trust companies, lawyers and directly with HNW individuals themselves.
Last year, Varley set up a new operation at Axa Asia, Regional Protection and Health Development. Earlier to this, he has established and managed the Axa Hong Kong international brokerage business for four years.
