Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva, has hired Steven Blackie from Mercer to serve as its new head of global product strategy.
Based in London, Blackie will spearhead Aviva Investors’ product strategy, investment specialist and request for proposal teams.

In the new role, he will report to the firm’s global head of client solutions Louise Kay.
Blackie formerly spent 15 years as an investment consultant, and before that was an equity fund manager.
He had a decade long stint at Mercer, and latterly served as the CIO of its UK business.
“As we expand our distribution efforts globally, it is imperative that client needs continue to drive our product strategy. Steven’s expertise in understanding and advising clients with complex needs, as well as considerable team management experience, make him ideally qualified to lead the product strategy team,” Kay noted.
