Aviva Investors has named Lian Yang as new head of Taiwan operations as part of its strategy to expand business in the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining Aviva, Yang worked as head of institutional sales at Deutsche Far Eastern Asset Management and as general manager for Robeco Asset Management.

The move follows the appointment of CTBC Investments as master agent in Taiwan in August and the launch of its AIMS Target Return Fund in Australia in May 2015.
