Aviva Asia has named Ken Rappold as new regional chief financial officer, with effect from April 2014.

Based in Singapore, Rappold will report to the Aviva Asia CEO, Khor Hock Seng.

In his new role, Rappold will be responsible for providig strategic support to Aviva’s growth markets in Greater China and South East Asia, in line with Aviva’s cash flow plus growth strategy and developing Aviva’s finance function in Asia.

Rappold with over 20 years of insurance experience has joined Aviva from AIA, where he has held several senior roles including CFO of Thailand and CFO of Korea, since joining AIA in 2006 from Allianz’s head office in Munich.

Rappold has started his career at KPMG spending nine years in the firm’s Houston, London and Munich offices, where he was responsible for auditing and advising life and general insurance companies.
