Australian Property Finance (APF) has established a new wealth management arm and named Jason Fung as its chief.

Called APF Wealth Management, the unit is a financial planning and wealth management service designed to help people in planning and implementing their goals relating to insurance, superannuation, cash-flow budgeting, investments, tax and retirement, reported The Adviser.

Fung joined APF from ANZ, where he worked as a financial planner. Prior to this, he has held roles at FBI Group and 360 Degree Wealth Services.

APF chief executive Nathan Swain said that launch of the wealth management arm is an expansion of the group’s core activity and diversified income stream to deliver compliance.

"With Jason’s risk insurance focus, our customers can have total confidence that brokers are committed to responsible lending," Swain added.

"I believe the APF model of teaming up with the business of real estate as well as accountants, mortgage brokers and legal entities is a better approach, because it’s all-encompassing and allows for a client’s every and ongoing financial need to be addressed," Fung said.
