Attivo, a UK-based chartered financial planning and wealth management group, has bought four IFA businesses.

The acquired firms include Hertfordshire-based Porter DeVere, North London firm Lifetime Financial Partnership, Bracknell-based Pearson Financial Services, and Worcester firm Morgan Fitzgerald.

The acquisition of Porter DeVere and Lifetime Financial Partnership has added 310 clients to Attiva, while Pearson Financial Services adds another 180 clients.

Attivo chief executive Stephen Harper said: "Attivo has taken the opportunity presented by a generation of IFAs seeking retirement from the industry and has worked with these firms to take over their clients and their financial planning requirements. It’s estimated between five to ten thousand advisers are at retirement age and we offer a respectful route for someone to retire."
