Atlantic Trust, a US-based private wealth management unit of CIBC, has hired Amanda Marsted as new managing director and senior relationship manager in the firm’s New York office.

In her new role, Marsted will be responsible for providing customized asset allocation and investment strategies for her clients within their tax, estate and charitable planning priorities.

Marsted has joined Atlantic Trust from Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., where she managed assets for high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs).

Prior to this, she worked as an equity analyst for New Frontier Capital and Federated Global Investment Management.

Till date, Atlantic Trust has recruited over 20 staff including 11 at the vice president level or above as well as seven client relationship managers in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver and Houston.

Additionally, the firm intends to hire more than 30 professionals by the end of this year.
