Atlantic Trust, the US private wealth management unit of CIBC, has expanded its Boston office by appointing Josh Miller as new managing director and senior wealth strategist.

In addition, the firm has also hired Mark Kane as senior vice president and business development officer for its Boston office.

In his new role, Kane will be responsible for expanding new relationships with HNW clients and to strengthen associations with key intermediaries in the northeast region.

Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Kane served as vice president at Bernstein Global Wealth Management where he provided asset allocation and wealth planning advice to HNWI’s and families. Before to this, Kane served a senior executive with the Xerox Corporation in New England.

Additionally, Miller will work with clients and their advisors to develop and implement charitable, estate and wealth transfer and management planning as part of Atlantic Trust’s integrated wealth management process.

Miller joined Atlantic Trust from BNY Mellon Wealth Management, where he worked as a senior relationship manager and wealth strategist.
