Artemis has hired Nick Shenton as new co-manager on its £6.8 billion Income fund.

In his new role, Shenton will work alongside Adrian Frost and Adrian Gosden on the Income fund.

Previously, Shenton had been an analyst supporting Frost and Gosden since 2012.

Shenton joined Artemis from Polar Capital running, where he has managed the UK equity long/short mandate for five years.

Prior to this, he worked on the UK and pan-European equity desks at F&C Asset Management as an equity analyst and assistant fund manager for four years.

Artemis’s director of communications, Ross Leckie, said it was an evolutionary promotion that identifies the contribution Shenton has made to our UK income funds over the last few years".
