Artemis Investment Management, the UK-based independent and owner-managed firm, has added five members of Threadneedle’s North American equities team to expand its equity business in the continent.
The team includes fund manager William Warren and analysts Olivia Miller, Chris Kent, Nafis Chowdhury and Paul Gannon.

The new recruitment is in addition to January 2014 hiring of two senior members of the Threadneedle’s team – Cormac Weldon and Stephen Moore.
Further, the company intends to launch five funds for the newly added team by the end of third quarter of fiscal 2014.
Artemis head of retail Richard Pursglove said, "These funds will include long-only and long-short strategies for distribution in the UK and Europe.
