The Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) has appointed Kevin Corbally as its new group general manager internal audit, replacing Michael Liarakos who has now been named as the bank’s chief compliance officer.
Corbally will report to ANZ chairman of the audit committee Paula Dwyer and ANZ CEO Shayne Elliott.

Corbally currently holds the role of managing director, credit and capital management at ANZ, where he has been working since 2009. He previously also served as the bank’s head of institutional relationship banking Australia.
He started his career at Price Waterhouse. Prior to joining ANZ, he served as managing director, head of corporate and commercial banking, Australia and New Zealand at Citigroup. Before that, he worked at Deutsche Bank.
