Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) has named Tracy Ong as new chief representative for ANZ Malaysia, replacing Fauziah Hisham.

In her new role, Ong will report to the CEO for Singapore and Malaysia, Vishnu Shahaney.

Ong joined ANZ from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Malaysia, where she served as managing director, head of corporate banking since 2013. She also worked as managing director and country head, Bank of America Malaysia.

Prior to this, she worked as executive director and deputy chief executive at Danajamin Nasional, Malaysia and also held several senior roles with the Maybank Group, most recently as head of corporate banking at Malayan Banking.

Shahaney said: "The representative office in Kuala Lumpur is integral to supporting and growing the Group’s capabilities outside Malaysia.

"I’m confident that Tracy’s leadership will greatly enhance the growth of business opportunities for the ANZ network and strengthen the overall relationship of our customers in Malaysia," he added.
