The Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) has named Graham Hodges as new acting CFO, replacing Shayne Elliot.

Hodges, who will assume his new role on 1 January 2016, will be responsible for managing all aspects of finance as well as group strategy, legal, treasury, investor relations and mergers and acquisitions.

Additionally, Elliot will become the bank’s CEO in 2016.

Hodges, the bank’s deputy CEO since May 2009, has held several senior roles at ANZ since 1991 including CEO ANZ New Zealand and group managing director, corporate.

The bank expects to complete the search for permanent CFO in 2016.
