Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) has hired Ivy Au Yeung as new chief executive officer for its Hong Kong unit, replacing Susan Yuen.

In his new role, Au Yeung will be responsible for growing ANZ’s retail, commercial and institutional business in Hong Kong.

He will report to Farhan Faruqui, ANZ’s CEO of International Banking.

Au Yeung, who joined ANZ in 2011, has previously led ANZ’s commercial business in Asia and the Pacific. Prior to this, she worked for 20 years at Standard Chartered.

Faruqi said: "It’s pleasing to be able to appoint someone of Ivy’s calibre as our new CEO in Hong Kong on my first day at ANZ."
