ANZ Bank’s CIO Anne Weatherston has stepped down from her role after a spell of four years at the bank.
The bank in a statement said that it will be conducting an international search for Weatherston’s replacement.

However, until a replacement is found Alistair Currie, group COO, will take over Weatherston’s responsibilities.
In addition, Currie will also be responsible for technology, shared services and operations across ANZ.
Weatherston joined ANZ in early 2010 from the Bank of Ireland, where she had been group CIO for four years.
Previously, Weatherston has also worked as IT director at Abbey/Santander and has held various business and technology roles in Britain at Gaz de France, the Student Loans Company and National Australia Bank and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
