The Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) has appointed Neil Younger and Alexis George as managing directors of its wealth management division.

ANZ managing director for advice and distribution Paul Barrett is leaving the bank following an executive reshuffle in its global wealth division, effective 16 September 2013.

Neil Younger, who has been appointed as general manager advice and open markets, will replace Barrett in his role effective immediately.

Younger has joined ANZ in December 2011 as head of practice-based financial planning and he has held senior executive roles in Wealth Management at both Commonwealth Bank of Australia and BT Financial.

Alexis George has also been appointed as managing director of insurance.

George, who joins ANZ from ING Asia Pacific, will step into his new role on 2 December 2013. She has over 20 years of experience in financial services and has also held many senior roles at BNP Paribas, AMP and BT Financial Group.
