Australia-based AMP capital has named David Allen as new global head of equities, based in London.
Allen, who will join AMP capital on March 2016, will report to AMP Capital global equities and fixed income chief investment officer Mark Beardow.

In his new role, Allen will assume responsibility for all equities teams across global locations, which manage over A$40bn in AUM.
Prior to joining AMP Capital, Allen served as co-head of asset management at Sarasin & Partners in London.

Meanwhile, Richard Colquhoun, former investment manager for Antares Capital, will join the firm’s Australian fundamental equities team as senior portfolio manager in January 2016.

By GlobalDataIn his new role, Colquhoun will report to Michael Price, head of Australian fundamental equities and will be responsible for the equity opportunities fund and concentrated fund.
Colquhoun also worked previously as investment analyst at Argo Investments.
Additionally, AMP Capital is collaborating with clients to facilitate an orderly transition to appropriate management arrangements.
Beardow added: "The Global Equities strategy we now have in place is robust and builds on our capability in global, regional and domestic equity styles and generates advantages from collaboration across AMP Capital, which we believe results in better outcomes for clients."
