AMP Capital has named Simon Warner as head of its fixed income with immediate effect.
In his new role, Warner will succeed Mark Beardow who was appointed as chief investment officer of the firm’s specialist investment teams in December 2013.

Prior to this role, Warner served as macro markets head within AMP Capital’s fixed income team for the past seven years.
Warner has 17 years of experience managing global fixed income portfolios. Before joining AMP Capital in 2007, he worked at JP Morgan Chase in London, Singapore and Sydney.
Commenting on the appointment, Beardow said: "Warner’s passion for pursuing outstanding investment outcomes for our clients and his broad global investment experience leave him well placed to lead the fixed income team as it seeks to build its growing global profile."
Currently, AMP Capital has 30 investment professionals in its fixed income team who are based in Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and Chicago.
