Investment manager and multi-family office Alvarium Investments has named Nancy Curtin as the new group CIO, replacing Neil Beaton.
Curtin will also serve as the partner and head of Investment Advisory as well as become a member of the operational and executive boards.

In the new role, Curtin will report to Alvarium CEO Alexander de Meyer.
Commenting on Curtin, de Meyer noted: “She brings exceptional and unrivalled experience to our multi-asset investment strategy.

Curtin has held senior positions in wealth and institutional asset management, private equity and hedge fund investing.

Her 20-year-long financial career also includes a stint as the managing partner and CIO of Fortune Asset Management.
Besides, she worked at Internet Finance Partners, a unit of Schroders, as well as the head of Global Investments-Mutual Funds at Schroders, and head of Emerging Markets at Baring Asset Management.
Meanwhile, Beaton will remain as the firm’s partner and client relationship manager. He will also be a part of the investment committee.
Beaton has held the role of Alvarium CIO since 2011.
