Philadelphia’s ALTZ Investment Strategies (ALTZ) has rolled out a new alternative investment platform that will bring private placement opportunities to accredited individual investors.
Usually designed for institutional investors, the investments will now be available to individual investors via the ALTZ website.

To access them, users need to sign up as accredited or aspirational investors on the website, open a brokerage account, and allocate funds toward featured private placements on being eligible.
After raising the capital to invest, investors’ money will be aggregated and allocated to the company offering the private placement.
Folio Institutional’s private investing arm VIA Folio will offer securities custody and brokerage account services to the new platform.
ALTZ CEO Jim McDonald said: "We wanted to provide individual investors the chance to not only view private placement opportunities, but to access and take advantage of investments that otherwise may have been difficult to source, vet and track. ALTZ’s platform does just that."
