Previously, Harris has worked as the investment officer and portfolio manager for a single-family office in Indianapolis and Indiana. He has also worked as a senior financial advisor to HNWIs in Baton Rouge and Louisiana.

Commenting on the appointment, AlphaCore Capital CEO Dick Pfister said: "We are thrilled to have Dirk join our team. As we grow it is important for us to add people with a background in financial planning as well as a passion for research.

"As volatility in fixed income increases and uncertainty in the equity market expands, individuals and advisors are looking to diversify their risk. Our experience uniquely qualifies us to assist in this allocation process without the typical conflicts that exist with many alternative investment providers."
