Alpha FMC, an asset and wealth management consultant in the UK, has launched a dedicated compliance practice to enable clients comply with regulatory norms.

The new unit will be headed by former Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulator Andrew Glessing. At FCA, Glessing served seven years as a manager overseeing FSA/FCA-regulated asset and wealth managers, platforms, pension providers and outsourcing firms.

He most recently worked as a managing director of advisory services at The Consulting Consortium, a compliance consultancy firm.

Glessing will be supported by Ala-Ilomaki, who will hold a senior position leading compliance rule coding in the new practice and will report to Glessing.

Alpha FMC’s compliance practice will initially include nine consultants.
