Investment manager Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) has named Joanne Wheatley as the new head of UK institutional client services.
In the newly created role, Wheatley will be based in London, where she will manage the existing client book of the firm, and work with clients to explore new investment opportunities.

She will report to AllianzGI UK institutional head Philip Dawes in the newly capacity.
Referring to Wheatley Dawes commented, "Joanne is joining at an exciting time for our institutional business in the UK, with our footprint continuing to expand.
"With strong demand across a diverse range of asset classes, including infrastructure debt, multi-asset, multi-factor investing, global sustainability and global equities, it’s vital we ensure our client service keeps in step with our growth."
Wheatley has over 16 years of industry experience, working in a range of asset classes and investment styles.

By GlobalDataShe most recently served at BlackRock, where she held the role of a client director within the Global Client Group for eight years.
Prior to that, she served at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers as a team leader for the company’s UK institutional business.
