Germany-headquartered Allianz has appointed Arun Ratra as its head of global solutions in Allianz Global Investors.

Ratra, in this new role, will support the development of Allianz Solutions and also provide clients with a set of customised investment services.
Ratra will replace Thomas Weisemann, who has moved to Allianz Leben, and will take up the role in April 2013.
Prior to this role, Ratra worked as the head of Gulf Investment Corporation . He was also the CIO for Credit Suisse Asset Management and Dutch Pension Fund.
