Alliance Trust Savings has appointed former Cofunds sales head Damian Smyth as its new head of intermediary sales, effective from 1 December 2013.
In his new role, Smyth will be responsible for leading the firm’s intermediary sales team as well as the development of the intermediary channel.

With more than 13 years in sales roles at Cofunds, Smyth most recently served as head of its sales development team.
Patrick Mill, managing director of Alliance Trust Savings, said: "Smyth’s platform background and the fact that he has been involved in the growth of Cofunds from its beginning means that he is ideally placed to develop the Intermediary channel for Alliance Trust Savings and the continued expansion that is planned."
