Alliance Trust Savings (ATS) has increased the standard annual charges on its advised platform for 2014 by 87.5% from £48 to £90 for Isas and by 55% from £120 to £186.00 for Sipps.

Effective from February 2014 and fixed until 2016, the platform will retain its flat-fee charging structure, while standard pricing do not cover dealing costs, which will be £12.50 per trade, Fundweb reported.

Additionally, an alternative inclusive pricing option will be available with no dealing charges. The inclusive fee option for Sipps will be £330 while for Isas it will be £180.

However, ATS may apply dealing charges on inclusive fee accounts after 25 online trades have been completed in a year.

Patrick Mill, managing director of ATS, was quoted by Fundweb as saying: "We are so confident in our charging structure and service we guarantee not to make any further increases to our charges until 2016 at the earliest. Nor will we increase the online or offline dealing fees. This will give you certainty on the cost of our service to you."
