These latest additions bring the total clean share class funds on the ATS platform past 1,700 from almost 50 fund managers. Most of the clean funds have no initial charge.
Sara Wilson, Alliance Trust Savings head of platform proposition, said: "These new funds from four well-known fund groups, follow closely from the addition of nearly 100 new funds last month and we are in talks with a number of other providers to further expand our investment offering, which also includes investment trusts, [exchange traded funds], [exchange traded commodities] and direct investment in equities.
"Clean funds with no commission are now likely to become even more popular after HMRC’s decision to take income tax on commission rebates from April 6, if only to avoid the hassle of paying the tax," Wilson added.
