Financial Standard quoted Damien Mu, general manager of AIA Australia, saying that the new move will allow advisers to buy AIA products through their preferred channel.
"As a dedicated partnering specialist, it is important AIA Australia continues to innovate in this area and make it as easy as possible for our adviser partners to manage their clients’ policies," Mu added:.
"Platforms are looking to broaden the scope of their offering to advisers by providing a competitive range of insurance products as a complement to their clients’ investments," Mu said.
Over the past two years, AIA has established eight new partnerships with wealth management platforms in Australia.
