Aequitas Capital has appointed William Ruh, former executive of Castle Creek Capital, as executive vice president and managing principal.
In his new roles, Ruh will provide oversight to the firm’s investments in the financial services sector and co-manage assets derived from Aequitas private credit strategies, the company said.

Ruh was a co-founder of Castle Creek Capital, an alternative asset management company and earlier held positions as vice president at Mabon Securities, commercial lending officer at The First National Bank of Chicago; and director of the Racing Division for Hood Sails.
Aequitas CEO Bob Jesenik said Ruh is an extraordinary addition to the Aequitas executive team.
